Simplicity Tip #9
At a certain point an idea turns into a project. That is the moment you decide you are really going to make it happen.
To keep from getting overwhelmed by all the parts during this inception phase, create one folder with the name of the project. Keep it in your project area (drawer, vertical file, bin, or other sorter).
Every time you come across a piece of information that might help you complete the project drop it into the folder. When you actually start taking steps to realize the idea everything will be in the same place, and not scattered all over your office.
Weed out the pieces you decide against as you go. At the completion of the project, only the good elements will be left.
Let me know how it works for you.
